PRIVATE WORK AREAS

The Vanguard College library has 6 designated kiosks with public access workstations available for student use.

PUBLIC AREAS

The Vanguard College library has several designated areas for students to converse.  All of these locations are covered by our wireless internet access points allowing laptop users to gain internet access.

INSTRUCTIONAL COMPUTER LAB

Our instructional computer lab is located in the library and contains 10 workstations and 6 empty desks for laptop users.  This room also serves as an overflow room for students when not in use for classroom activities.  This room also offers wireless internet access.

PUBLIC ACCESS COMPUTER LAB

Our public access computer lab is located in the library and contains 10 workstations and 2 empty desks for laptop users.  This room serves as our primary computer facility for students.  This room also offers wireless internet access.

OPAC

Online Public Access Computer OPAC offers our students direct access to the SPARKY library database.  Here the student may use a number of search tools to find the book they are looking for within our library's 23,000 titles.

WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS (LAPTOPS)

The Vanguard College library provides wireless internet access its entire expanse.  Wireless B/G and N are available.

There are dozens of desks, tables and empty kiosks available for students to work on research.  From these tables students not only have wireless access, but may also PLUG IN for internet access.
